The dedicated reports are no longer a limited rollout
Google added an August 31 note to its Search Central announcement confirming that generative AI performance reports have rolled out to all websites worldwide. The reports cover appearances in AI features in Search and Discover.
The available views include impressions, pages, countries, dates, and device data for Search. The data also remains part of the broader performance reporting.
Start with a baseline, not a victory claim
An impression means a URL appeared in a generative AI feature. It does not show that the appearance produced a click, lead, sale, or recommendation people acted on.
Our recommendation: save a baseline for the pages and countries that matter to the business. Compare that report with landing-page traffic, qualified inquiries, and independent AI citation tests rather than merging them into one success number.
Use the page list to choose the next check
The page view can reveal which URLs Google is already using in its AI features. Check whether those pages contain a clear answer, current facts, a visible next step, and a canonical URL that matches the report.
Do not rewrite a working page only because its impression count is small. Confirm the query, audience, and commercial role first. Visibility without the right buyer is still the wrong traffic problem.

What to check next
- Open the Search and Discover generative AI reports in Search Console.
- Export a baseline by page, country, device, and date.
- Check the canonical, answer block, and next step on visible pages.
- Keep AI impressions separate from clicks, leads, and sales.
- Repeat a small set of independent citation tests for the same buyer questions.
Sources and scope
The dedicated reports expose visibility data such as impressions, pages, countries, devices, and dates. They do not prove a citation caused a visit or sale, and Google says it may add more metrics over time.
The announcement is confirmed by the source below. Practical checks in this article are Stan Consulting's recommendations.
